Ezeo for Shopify
Shopify reviewer guide
An end-to-end test plan for Shopify reviewers: the free audit, Ezeo Pro billing, optional permissions, catalog sync, draft publishing and catalog SEO edits.
Reviewer access
A Shopify development store with Ezeo Pro test access is supplied in Shopify's private App testing information. Every step below runs inside the embedded app on the Shopify session alone, with no separate Ezeo login.
The app menu lists SEO, AI search, Content, Conversions, Settings and Plans, and the app name opens Home. Each section's pages are listed in a sidebar inside the page. Buttons labelled Open Ezeo, and the AI-visibility refresh confirmation, leave the embedded app for ezeo.ai and do ask for an Ezeo account — no review step needs them.
Free audit flow
- Install and approve read_themes.
- Confirm the app returns to the embedded home.
- Run the audit and review scored findings.
- Choose Re-run audit to confirm the workflow is repeatable. AI search › Readiness shows the audit’s GEO findings.
Ezeo Pro connection flow
- Open Plans and choose See Ezeo Pro. Declining Ezeo Pro must return without activation; then activate the 7-day Ezeo Pro trial through Shopify-managed pricing.
- Open Settings › Ezeo connection and approve the optional read_products, write_content, and write_products scopes. No report, customer, or individual order scopes are requested.
- Confirm the app automatically creates or reuses the store’s embedded workspace — no separate Ezeo account or project selection.
- Return to Home for the audit score, next action and Shopify catalog connection, then open Settings › Data connections for the one-time Search Console, GA4 and Clarity setup.
Content, catalog and disconnect flow
- Open Content › Content Studio, generate a clearly labeled verification article, select a Shopify blog, and choose Create Shopify draft. Confirm the article remains unpublished.
- Open SEO › Products & collections, confirm an SEO title or description change, choose Apply and verify, then roll it back and confirm the original value is restored.
- Return to Settings › Ezeo connection and choose Disconnect. Confirm the optional scopes are revoked and future sync stops.
- Cancel or downgrade Ezeo Pro from Shopify-managed pricing; the free audit must remain available. Uninstall and reinstall restores the current Shopify-managed entitlement.
