Is the Shopify audit really free?
Yes. The SEO and GEO storefront audit is permanently free and does not require an Ezeo account. Ezeo Pro is optional.
What permissions does the free audit request?
The app installs with read_themes, used as a fallback when the rendered storefront cannot be reached. It does not modify theme files.
Who in my store can install the app and approve its permissions?
The store owner always can. A staff member can too, but only if the owner gave them permission to manage and install apps (Shopify admin › Settings › Users and permissions), and staff can only approve permissions they already hold themselves. If that is not you, send the message from the setup tutorial to your store owner.
What does Ezeo Pro add?
Ezeo Pro adds an automatically provisioned embedded workspace, product and collection sync, your own Search Console, GA4 and Clarity connections, weekly actions, reviewed article generation and publishing, and verified product or collection SEO edits with rollback.
Does Ezeo access customers or individual orders?
No. The app never requests customer, order, or Shopify reporting scopes. Search performance comes from your own Search Console property and site behaviour from your own GA4 and Clarity accounts, never from Shopify sales or traffic data.
Can Ezeo publish content automatically?
No. The Shopify merchant must review the article in the embedded Content Studio and explicitly choose draft, schedule, or publish. Draft is the recommended verification mode.
How do I disconnect Ezeo?
Open Connect to Ezeo in the embedded Shopify app and choose Disconnect. This revokes the optional scopes and stops synchronization.
Where are app charges managed?
Ezeo Pro charges and plan changes are managed through Shopify-hosted pricing: Ezeo Pro $59/month or $590/year, Ezeo Growth $149/month or $1,490/year, each with a 7-day free trial. Ezeo does not use an external checkout for Shopify app charges.
