Short answers about using Ezeo from an assistant, an agent or a terminal.
Do I need an Ezeo account?
Yes. No account yet? Get started at ezeo.ai/start, it takes two minutes. The connector then signs you in to that account, and the assistant sees only the projects it can see.
Does the connector cost extra?
Connecting is part of your Ezeo plan and the read tools call no paid API; your own assistant plan pays for the model. Only requesting articles spends, and it uses the same content allowance as in the app.
Can an assistant change my data?
Only by requesting articles. Every other connector tool reads. Before it runs, the assistant shows a preview and waits for your yes.
Which assistants work?
Any assistant that supports remote MCP servers with sign-in. Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, OpenAI Codex and Cursor are verified end to end (as of 2026-10-15). The others, including GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI and Windsurf, are set up from their own documentation and not yet verified. Custom GPTs use the OpenAPI URL and need an Ezeo admin to register them.
Can I use the CLI or ezeo mcp?
Yes, with an owner, admin or member account: npm i -g @ezeo/cli (Node 22 or newer), then ezeo login. ezeo login refuses client accounts. The CLI and the connector both register an MCP server named ezeo, so use one per agent: the connector for most people, the CLI for terminal power users. Browser sign-in was verified live on 2026-09-30; the other commands are tested against recorded responses rather than live runs, so report any figure that looks wrong instead of trusting it.
Codex sign-in failed after I approved. What do I do?
That was fixed on 2026-10-15. Run codex mcp login ezeo again and sign in; no extra flags are needed.
Why does a figure say it was not measured?
Ezeo returns null and a note instead of 0 when it has no measurement, so a gap is never mistaken for a zero. get_sync_status shows whether the data source is still syncing.
My assistant says I have no projects.
It sees what your account sees. Client accounts see a project only after it has been granted to them. If your own account has no projects yet, add your site at https://ezeo.ai/app, or, if you installed Ezeo through the Ezeo Shopify app, claim your store at https://ezeo.ai/app/shopify/link.
How do I disconnect?
Remove Ezeo from your assistant's connector settings. For the CLI, run ezeo logout.
